But in-game it appears that the keybinds are working properly.Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts Log in sign up User account menu 3 Is The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition combat really horrible or am I missing something.I get the blending and changing direction with long range attacks. What I dont get is dodge literally never dodges an attack no matter what direction I go.
I play games on higher difficulties but this seems. Parrying Does it exist Even the first fight of the game is a pain in the ass as you get surrounded. Fighting the dude right outside the tavern with fists feels. Is it me Am I missing something huge I watched the tutorial videos. I gave it a chance many times and even tweaked the modifiers but it still just doesnt feel fluid. Maybe Im missing hotkeys or something, maybe I installed this improperly, I dont know. The input file I have to add keybinds to always resets to the default as soon as I start the game, but in game it seems like the keybinds all work. Any insight I love ALL the changes, especially no levels, but this combat is so atrocious to me right now I dont think I can do it. It feels more annoying than difficult. If you press dodge right when an enemy attacks like youd do in vanilla, youre probably gonna get hit. Instead, use a dodge preventively: when you sense an attack incoming, press dodge to move out of the enemys range. Parrying Does it exist Yes, and it is a strong defensive tool against most attacks. Even the first fight of the game is a pain in the ass as you get surrounded Either A: dont get surrounded. Thanks to manual targeting, B is what makes Enhanced Editions combat insanely (and uniquely) fun once you get a grip on the improved combat controls. W3EE has a steep learning curve, but once you get a hang of things it, combat becomes really cool. Heres what I recommend you do, as it helped me get used to the mod: First, find a keybinding setup thats comfortable for you Enable the developer console In game, find an open field somewhere (plenty of farmland in the prologue) Spawn a shielded enemy with the command spawn(shield) Try to kill him with only melee. Spawn 3 shielded enemies with spawn(shield, 3) Try to kill them all as fast as possible with only melee. By doing this, youll learn to master: manual targeting, bending attacks, moving through crowds (if you do your best to kill them all as fast as possible) and Stamina management level 2 Original Poster 1 point 2 years ago This is great thank you:) level 1 2 points 2 years ago Im personally sticking with vanilla combat. I dont get the question about parrying, its way more useful than it was before. When I copy the keybinds to my input like the installation says it always reverts the file when I load up W3.
